Report of
progress on Whitchurch Road site
Charlotte
Prince from Wrekin provided the following update to Karen Sieloff clerk to
Prees PC 8.5.25.
The site has
had power for some time now and all meters are installed. Snagging (picking up and correcting of any
small outstanding matters) needs to be done.
The main
focus of concern at the moment is the need for a retaining wall around the
pumping-station on site. The
pumping-station deals with waste from the site and must be up and running fully
before any one can move in to one of the new homes. The design for the retaining wall is awaiting
approval from Severn Trent, but it is felt that agreement is close. The work of building the wall will take 4
weeks. This means that hand-over of the
homes is hoped to happen before the end of June. A further update on this will be available in
a fortnight.
As to
availability of the homes, the only ones still remaining are two Shared
Ownership homes, one 2 bedroom house and one with 3 bedrooms. These homes are not only for first time
buyers. Details are on the Wrekin
website.
